Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What kind of cats do you breed?
A: We specialize in purebred Maine Coons — known for their large size, gentle personalities, and striking looks. Every kitten is raised with love and care in our Indiana home.
Q: Are your kittens registered?
A: Yes! All kittens are TICA and come with their registration paperwork.
Q: What’s included when I adopt a kitten?
A: Each kitten goes home with:
  • A starter bag of Fancy Feast canned food and Hill’s Science Diet dry kitten food
  • Health records, including vaccinations and deworming
  • A kitten care guide
  • Lifetime support — you can always reach out with questions!
Q: How do I get on the waiting list?
A: Getting on our waiting list is simple:
  1. Reach out to Heather directly through Facebook Messenger or email at thompson146@sbcglobal.net.
  2. We’ll share details about upcoming litters, estimated timing, and available colors or genders.
  3. A deposit is required to secure a kitten or to secure a spot on the waiting list. Deposits are non-refundable, but they can be transferred to a future litter. Joining the waiting list ensures you’re first in line when kittens are ready.
Q: At what age can kittens go home?
A: Kittens are ready to go home around 10 weeks of age, after they’re fully weaned and have received their first vaccinations.
Q: Do you ship kittens?
A: We do not ship kittens but have flown with and met buyers/curriers at airports. We’re happy to meet families partway or arrange a pickup location for convenience and safety.
Q: Can we visit your home to see the kittens?
A: For the health and safety of our kittens, we do not allow in-home visits. We understand families may want to meet their kitten in person, so we’re happy to arrange a public meeting location once your kitten is ready or close to going home. Photos and video updates are also provided while kittens are growing. The safety of our human family is most important to us and we do not feel comfortable having people in our home that we do not know.
Q: How big do Maine Coons get?
A: Maine Coons are one of the largest domestic cat breeds. Males typically reach 15–25 pounds, while females usually range from 10–18 pounds as adults.
Q: Are Maine Coons good with kids and other pets?
A: Absolutely! Maine Coons are gentle giants — affectionate, patient, and social. They usually get along well with children, dogs, and other cats.
Q: What kind of grooming do they need?
A: Despite their long coats, Maine Coons are low-maintenance. A weekly brushing helps prevent tangles and keeps their fur healthy and soft. Hot spots for mats are under the arms, neck, and back of legs. If you keep those areas brushed you will be helping your cat to be successful in having long beautiful coats.
